History
Founded in 1989 by Jan and Michael Wooten, Sunshine Valley Farm has been picking 18 varieties of apples for nearly 20 years. The property outside Springfield was a quest for the Wootens, who searched for years to find the right spot to grow apples and small fruit. Now, the farm has become a destination for those interested in picking fresh berries during the summer or for anyone interested in a great meal from the cafe, or a pie or turnover to serve at home.
